Thanks for a Great Maine Rafting Season
November 4 2011. What a great year it has been. We had lots of rain making for big releases and high water for most of the season. It was great seeing our old guests and friends this summer and lots of new guests who have become friends. Sadly it has not been all great. Our good friend and raft guide, John Guida passed this spring. He is greatly missed by all. Joyce, our office mgr for 12 years, is now semi-retired. She will be with us a few days a week next summer. We want to thank our guide staff who did such a great job this summer. Every one of them gave a free day on Sept 11th as we took all fireman, police, and military for a free all day trip to thank them for all they do. Hope to see all the guides back in 2012. I want to thank every one of our guests who rafted with us this summer. Donna and I hope you had as much fun as we did. May all of you have a wonderful holiday season and we’ll see you next year. For another chapter of our life, we are now great grandparents to Ryleigh Jane O’Connor. She is beautiful. For all of you who remember Ryan[The Prince of Rafting] he has graduated from college, married Sara his high school sweetheart, and now is a father. Thanks again to all of you. David and Donna
2012 Dead River Release Dates
The Dead River Release dates have been set for 2012. Saturday May 5 and May 12 7,000 cfs, Sunday May 27 (Memorial Weekend) 5500 cfs, Sat. June 2 5000 cfs, June 9, 3500 cfs, Sunday. Sept 2 (Labor Day Weekend) 5,500 cfs, Sat. Sept 15 3,500 cfs and Sat. Oct 6 (Columbus Day weekend) up to 6,000 cfs. The summer recreational releases are Sunday June 10 2400 cfs, Sat. July 21 2400 cfs and Sat. August 11 2400 cfs.

Bobby October 9, 2011: What a warm, beautiful fall day on the Kennebec. I had the Clark group from USM, and they were great. The water was 7,200 cfs, Join us early next spring for a high water Dead trip, or if you want to become a guide, sign up online for our guide training course. See Ya All Next Year!!!!!!!

Cory October 8, 2011: Well this is probably the last blog I will be doing this season. Another year to put in the history books. It has been fun and I hope everyone enjoys their winter. Pray for a lot of snow, because a good winter means a lot of water in the spring. If you went rafting with us this year, I just want to thank you. I’ll see you next season out on the river!!!!!

The Dead was flowing 6000+ cfs! What a great fall trip; the holes and waves were boat stopping. We have one weekend left and it’s “Pay Your Age” Weekend. come on up and join us!
Grand Finale for the 2011 Rafting Season
The season comes to an end on Columbus Day with Magic Falls Special of pay your age on October 8, 9 and 10. The annual early AHlloween PArty is Saturday the 8th. Wear a costume and win prizes.
